I just returned from a trip to Tahiti. We stayed at an awesome new resort called Manava Suite Resort Tahiti. The resort was very an amazing value for the price. It was super clean and incredibly designed. I love the mix of polynesian and clean-modern design. Here are a few pictures below and check out the flickr photo stream for more.
I recently stepped up my ability to offer digital photography to my clients. Nikon has some very nice prices on their D200 model cameras right now. Though this model came out in 2005, it is definitely an upgrade from the D40 that I had previously. It’s nice to be able to offer quality photography to go along with my video offerings.
Check out Bestbuy.com for a great deal on the camera body.
I have decided to sell my condo and buy a home. I’d love to keep this as a vacation condo but I can’t. This is your opportunities to get an amazing condo at a rock bottom price. I am selling it on my own so I will pass the $14000 commission I’d have to pay to a realtor to you.
This one is a 1180 sf 2 Bed, 2 bath, top floor condo. It has AMAZING mountain views! I dare you to find a condo with a better view for anywhere near this price anywhere in C-Ville. Plus it is quiet and in a wooded area, yet close to everything. Literally minutes from downtown and walking distance to pantops shopping center as well as quick access to 64.
Good news friends! MF9design has opened a store on Cafepress.com called Noise Impacts. This store will sell items of our design themed around the impact of noise in our world. Its a visual representation of how we see sounds. The idea came about while listening to N.E.R.D.’s new cd “Seeing Sounds” around the office.
These will be high-quality shirts that work for causal wear or under a suit jacket at the club. Many more will be posted in the upcoming months as we hear thing that need to be seen.
Many of my most fond memories of childhood center on the 8-bit Nintendo.
Brief history: In 1985, Nintendo launched the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Over the course of the next two years, it almost single-handedly revitalized the video game industry, selling over 60 million units.
My cousins had gotten one for christmas in 1986 and I remember going over to their house and playing it for hours with them.
We would shoot ducks, run track and field events on a power pad and play super mario bros. endlessly. The sqaure-like graphics and mono sound effects were amazing to us as children. I don’t play video games much anymore but still to this day I will buy any NES game I don’t have when I see it at a garage sale or pawn shop. My brother and I have close to 200 games and counting.
Last week, I saw that Blik, a company that makes removable wall graphics released a line of Nintendo wall graphics. The Super Mario set comes with many different individual pieces allowing you to recreate your favorite levels from the game on your wall at home or design your own new ones.
From an interior design standpoint, they probably wouldn’t increase the value of your home but are tons of fun none-the-less and you can always peel them off when that time comes. Check out Whatisblik.com for these and tons of other wall graphics.
I came across this image on Jayse’s website. Xeler8r.com
Its really interesting because it shows how many of the Apple products we know and love were designed after products from 1950 + 60’s made by Dieter Ram of Braun.
